The usual way
- Pay $5,000+ upfront, then get handed the keys
- Every change costs extra or waits on your “web guy”
- Hosting, security, and updates are your problem
- Nobody tells you if the site is actually working
We’re GivenTake Devs, a small studio in Ohio. We build custom websites for small businesses starting at $999, quoted in writing before we start. Add the optional $99/mo care plan and you get hosting, updates, and a plain-English report every month showing where your leads came from and what to fix next.
New studio, now booking. Small team, direct access: you always know who you are talking to and who is building your site. No layers in between.
What working with us actually looks like
The exchange
Every project is the same trade. An idea, a brief, a problem, or a deadline goes in. A product, a system, a fix, or a launch comes out. Pick a thread to jump to that part of the page.
How we're different
Most small-business sites are built once, then left to quietly go stale. We do the opposite: a build you own outright, starting at $999, and an optional $99 a month to keep it fast, safe, and reporting back on the leads it brings you.
Services
Tell us what’s eating your week. A few weeks later, you’re using the fix, and on the care plan you get a report every month showing what it’s doing for you.
Marketing sites that load fast, rank on Google, and bring in leads. Starting at $999, quoted in writing, and yours to own.
Custom software for the parts of your business that don't fit into Notion, Airtable, or an off-the-shelf SaaS.
The tools you already pay for, connected. Leads land in your CRM, invoices go out, reports write themselves.
Dashboards, admin panels, and ops tools your team opens every morning instead of another spreadsheet.
Customers book, pay, and get reminded without the phone tag. Built around how your customers actually decide.
A working product in front of real users in six to ten weeks. Built to be extended, not thrown away.
Search, summarization, and routing wired into your product where they actually help. Reviewed by a human before they ship.
Optional, $99 a month. Hosting, security updates, backups, monitoring, small edits, and a monthly report in plain English.
Every project is scoped before it's quoted, but these are the shapes we build most often, with what's included, what isn't, and where the price starts.
Replace your spreadsheets with one dashboard
Job status, invoices, and numbers in one place instead of five files.
AI lead intake and routing
Enquiries read, classified, and routed before anyone opens the inbox.
Booking and payments for service businesses
Customers book, pay, and reschedule themselves.
A marketing site your team can actually update
A site that reflects what the business does now, with a CMS behind it.
Websites for contractors and home-service trades
A site built to turn a search on a phone into a call or a quote request.
AI automation services for small businesses
The repetitive work someone does by hand every day, done by software: AI where it reads and sorts, plain rules where it has to be exact.
Get an MVP in front of real users
The smallest thing that tests whether people actually want it.
Beyond websites
Then we build what runs the business behind it. The dashboard that replaces your spreadsheets. The automation that routes every lead into your CRM. Booking your customers can use without calling you. One studio, one point of contact, no handoffs.
See everything we buildHow we work
No 40-page proposals, no discovery theater. Five steps, and the last one never ends.
One conversation about what you sell, who buys it, and what's eating your week. We listen, you talk.
Checkpoint: You tell us the problem in plain language.
Within a week you get a page-by-page plan: what we're building, what it costs, and when it's live.
Checkpoint: You approve the plan before we build anything.
We build it in weeks, not quarters. You see real pages as they go up, not a mockup a month later.
Checkpoint: You see progress every week.
We handle the domain, the security certificate, and your analytics setup, then test everything on real phones.
Checkpoint: You get the speed numbers before it goes live.
Every month on the care plan, a plain-English report: where your leads came from, what we changed, what worked, and the one fix we'd make next.
Checkpoint: You always know what the site is doing for you.
We use AI tooling to build faster, and a human reviews everything before it ships. That’s the whole story. The part that matters to you is the report in step five.
Quality & Guardrails
Every line generated by an AI agent is read, tested, and refined before it ships. We don't trust output we can't explain. If the AI produces something that doesn't match the plan, it gets rewritten.
We write tests for the critical paths: user flows, API contracts, and edge cases. Tests run on every change. A failing test means nothing moves forward.
No secrets in code, strict input validation, least-privilege access, and dependency checks for known vulnerabilities. If something falls outside what we can do well, we bring in a specialist or tell you upfront.
AI handles the boilerplate. We handle architecture, UX, and final sign-off. You deal with the studio directly from kickoff to launch, and nothing ships without manual human review.
Straight answer
GivenTake is a new studio. That means there’s no case-study reel yet, and we’re not going to fabricate one to fill the page. Everything shown under “work” is labelled for what it is.
What you get instead is direct access to whoever is actually building your product. No project manager relaying to a junior dev, no agency layer between you and the work. If something is slow, or unclear, or wrong, you’re talking to whoever can fix it.
We build with AI coding agents and modern tools. That means faster prototypes, less boilerplate, and more time on the parts that actually need judgment: architecture, UX, and making sure the thing solves your problem. It’s not magic, and it’s not a replacement for thinking. It’s just a better way to ship.
Early clients also get closer attention and more flexible scoping than an established agency has time for. Rates reflect a studio building its own track record, not agency overhead.
If that lines up with what you need, let’s talk.

Send us your URL. We’ll record a free 5-minute video showing what’s slowing it down, what’s confusing your customers, and the one fix we’d make first.
No pitch, no obligation. It’s the same first step we’d do as your studio. You just get to watch.
